Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: your email address, and a password if you create one. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your password ourselves. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name.
- Your project content: the 3D models you upload or publish, saved views, markups, tags, project names, and the images and videos you generate.
- Billing records: your render credit balance and a ledger of top-ups and charges. Payments run through Stripe — card numbers are entered on Stripe's systems and never reach ours.
- Usage data: which features you use, render counts and model storage totals, plus standard server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) used for security and troubleshooting.
- AI inputs: the prompts, source images and reference images you submit for a render.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Service, including the InContext3D plugins for Revit, SketchUp and Rhino, which use the same account and backend as the web app.
- To process your renders, host and stream your models, and keep projects in sync across devices and applications.
- To charge render credit accurately and show you what each render cost.
- To contact you about your account, a purchase, or a support request.
- To keep the Service secure and diagnose faults.
3. Sharing of Information
- We do not sell your personal information.
- AI processing: when you run a render, your prompt and any source or reference images are sent to WaveSpeed.ai, which routes the job to the model you chose — currently Google (Gemini, Veo), ByteDance (Seedream, Seedance) or OpenAI (GPT Image). The prompt enhancer sends your text to OpenAI. Their terms and privacy policies also apply.
- Infrastructure: Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, authentication, database), Amazon Web Services S3 and CloudFront (model storage and streaming), Cesium ion (model tiling) and Stripe (payments).
- Map imagery: the viewer streams Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles and Cesium ion assets; those requests go to Google and Cesium directly from your browser or plugin.
- We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the Service.
- Our commitment on providers: we require our service providers to protect your information to the standard described in this policy, to use it only to deliver the service we have asked them to perform, and not to sell it or use it for their own purposes. Where a provider's own terms also apply, we choose providers whose commitments are consistent with this policy.
4. Share Links
When you create a share link, the project data you share — its name, saved views, model references and markups — becomes readable by anyone holding the link, and the password if you set one. Share links expire after 7 or 30 days, and you can revoke one at any time from Manage Shares. We record a view count and when a link was last opened.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We also use Google's analytics tag — but analytics storage stays switched off until you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can change your answer at any time under Manage Preferences.
6. Data Retention and Your Rights
- You can view, change or delete your projects, models and generated media from inside the app at any time.
- You may request deletion of your account and its data by emailing support@incontext3d.com. We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- How long we keep things: we keep your project content — models, views, markups and generated media — for as long as your account is active. When you delete an item it is removed from our systems within 30 days, including from backups. If you close your account we delete your content within 30 days, except billing records, which we keep for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Server logs are retained for 90 days.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us and we will help.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport and server-side access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
InContext3D is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the date above when we do, and continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
